Song Analysis: "Good Vibrations"
Performed by The Beach Boys
The song I chose for this week's analysis is "Good Vibrations' performed by the Beach Boys. This song has been in so many movies, shows, and has been played on the radio so many times I'd be surprised if someone in the class hasn't heard this before. This song is all about how they're falling in love with a girl and noticing all the little things about her that give them good vibrations. It is a song of jubilation, confessing their love, happiness, and of course, good vibrations to the world. The lyrics say "I-I love the colorful clothes she wears And the way the sunlight plays upon her hair I hear the sound of a gentle word On the wind that lifts her perfume through the air" again, just stating the small little things that lift their spirits up whenever they're near the girl they are falling for. I think most of us can relate to when there's just someone really good in our life, a friend, lover, or otherwise, and we're just vibing off of each other and there's nothing but good vibrations between both of us the whole time. There's really not a better feeling in the world.
I'm really glad you decided to write about this song this is a great song I am also so intrigued on how this song was written and how long it took them to write it I would also agree that I have seen it in a few movies and its always really great movies. I really like how you explain on what this song is about and give great detail good job!!
ReplyDeleteI also love this song! Like a lot! I love hearing it come on in movies and the vibes that it gives off. I also think Brian Wilson is just a lyrical and musical genius. He did some crazy stuff with the Beach Boys that hadn't been done before, but it always sounded amazing. I definitely agree that the song is super relatable and everyone that hears it can usually recognize it's the Beach Boys.
