Song Analysis: "Sh'Boom"
Performed by The Chords
This week's song analysis was on the song Sh'Boom, performed originally by The Chords. This song is an old classic, I'm not sure anyone in my generation wouldn't recognize it, it is used so often and is a quality song. This song is all about how life could be a dream if this man could spend his life with his love. It is fast paced, not too complicated, and a great song to sing and dance along to. The song has a fast paced scatting along with lyrics that are thrown at you so fast, almost as if they were in a race to tell you how much they want to spend time with their sweetheart. "Oh, life could be a dream Sh-boom, if I could take you to a paradise up above Sh-boom, and tell me, darling, I'm the only one that you love" When first listening to the song you think its so fast paced that they couldn't possibly get any real meaning behind the lyrics, but when you listen harder, you hear that there are wonderful and loving lyrics such as these hidden within the rapid song. If you haven't heard this song because you were hiding under a rock you should really give this one a listen to.
It's TRUE. This song has been everywhere and in everything. Its not complicated at all like you said, but its still clever I its own way. Its probably not the last time anybody will hear it either. It is a classic after all.
